Because the birds, squirrels & wind carry the "nuts" about, we often have seedlings sprouting spontaneously. We dig and pot these and make them available for sale (we don't have many places to plant more). Most of our seedlings are C. dentata (American Chestnut) salvaged from pioneer orchards in Coos County, Oregon. We are now growing the seedlings ourselves. We currently have (after losing our 2023 seedbed due to flooding in the winter of 2023-2024, we now have 50 to 75 seedlings available for Fall 2024 planting. Orders received now (while supply lasts) sell at $15.00 each or 8 seedlings for $100 plus shipping. Seedlings will be shipped in October unless requested sooner.
